Adamson's Pingoy benched as form of 'disciplinary action'

While the Adamson Soaring Falcons managed to get its second win in UAAP Season 81 on Wednesday, it was noticeable that one of their floor generals did not play during the game.

Jerie Pingoy, who listed three points during their game against Ateneo last week, was benched during the whole game today as a form of "disciplinary action."

"Late dumating eh," Adamson Head Coach Franz Pumaren said.

Talking to reporters, Pingoy admitted his mistake but clarified that all things are well between him and Coach Franz.

Pingoy also gave an update on an injury bothering him these past few days.

"Medyo naging ano, yung plantar [fasciitis]. He added that he will undergo surgery again after the season ends.

Despite the injury, Pingoy promised that he will come, and try not to be late, on their next game on Saturday against the UST Growling Tigers.

— BAP, GMA News
