Mayweather's mind is his edge over Pacquiao, says Mayweather Sr.

Floyd Mayweather's intelligence will be his biggest edge when he faces Manny Pacquiao on May 2 in Las Vegas, according to the unbeaten American's father and trainer Floyd Sr.

Even though the younger Mayweather is no power puncher, his outspoken dad thinks he can knock out Pacquiao because of his dominance.

"These are my thoughts on what I see and what I think is going to happen, I think that my son will probably stop him, he’s never fought nobody with the mind that Floyd’s got. That’s gonna be the problem right there," Floyd Sr. told ontheropesboxing.com.

Despite his bravado, Floyd Sr. is stopping short of putting money on a knockout from his son.

"It can go a couple of different ways. I most definitely think my son’s gonna win, I think he’s gonna stop Manny, or even if he whoops him, I think it’s gonna be a real good beating, a real good beating, that’s what I think," said Floyd Sr.

"I don’t think it’s gonna be no tight stuff. I think if he wins, he gonna touch him up, for real. Just remember, the Mayweathers is the best and for all the rest, there’s no contest." —JST, GMA News
