UAAP: Valdez gets help as Ateneo downs UP in women's volleyball

A total of 10 players scored for Ateneo de Manila as they Katipunan-based squad defeated their neighbor University of the Philippines in straight sets, 25-14 25-8 25-16, on Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

 

Alyssa Valdez scored 21 points but got a lot of help from Dzi Gervacio who pitched in 16. Gretchen Ho and Fille Cainglet had seven each to round up the "Fab Four."

 

None of the Maroons scored in double figures, while Aliyah Ong top-scoring with six. Katherine Bersola and Karen Del Rosario added five each, while Princess Se had three. - AMD, GMA News
