The Philippines has won the R. William Jones Cup thrice since its inception in 1977 and held annually in Taipei, Taiwan. It's a far second from the US, which holds 14 titles and is currently the defending champion. The Chinese Taipei team is in third spot with two titles. Australia, Canada, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea and Sweden have one title each. According to an article posted at en.wikipedia.org, San Miguel-Philippines won the first title in 1981 followed by another San Miguel-Philippine team in 1985.
