SEA Games 2019 logo has been presented to the Olympic Council of Asia

In Jakarta on Sunday, DFA Chief and Chairman of the SEA games organizing committee Alan Peter Cayetano introduced the logo for the 30th SEA Games in 2019 to the Olympic Council of Asia.

Cayetano explained the simplistic design: the 11 circles represent the countries bound together in the shape of the Philippines, who is hosting the sporting event, “to symbolize that wherever and whenever the games are played, we are one and we win as one.”

The eleven countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

He also introduced the country’s mascot for the SEA Games 2019, Fami, short for family, “to show that we are one family." — LA, GMA News
