SEA Games: Philippines opens campaign with silver in wushu duilian


The trio of Daniel Parantac, John Keithley Chan and Norlence Ardee Catolico got the Philippines' campaign in the 27th Southeast Asian Games off to a shining start by copping silver in the wushu duilian contest, Saturday at the Wunna Theitdi Indoor Stadium in Myanmar.

Based on the official results on the SEA Games website, the trio fell just a hair shy of gold, as they tallied a score of 9.62, 0.02 shy of gold medalists Kyaw Zin Thit and Wai Phyo Aung of the host country, who finished with 9.64.

Thailand copped third with a 9.60 score.

Wushu duilian, also known as the dual event, is a two-person sparring exhibition with choreographed moves. - AMD, GMA News
