GMA Network partners with MMDA to deliver fresh traffic, flood, fire updates


GMA Network on Tuesday signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to provide netizens and TV viewers the latest traffic, fire, and flood updates.

“[This joint-project] forges a real public-private partnership that goes beyond mere rhetoric on public service. We hope to provide instant, accurate information that will directly or indirectly involve the public,” MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said during the signing.   For its part, GMA will donate 40 handheld and 25 units of two-way radios to MMDA to assist it in its traffic safety monitoring. - Rouchelle R.
