Love conquers all, even the CPA boards

They really do look attached at the hip. 

 

And according to their Basic Accounting professor, Tristan de Guzman and Celine de Lara were pretty much that as they studied for their Certified Public Accountant Board Exam which they took this October. 

 

University of Santo Tomas accounting teacher James Domingo recounted their inspiring tale, which has gone viral, in his Facebook account.  

 

“Laging sabay na nag-aaral sa Central Library,” spun Domingo, “Hinahatid pa ni Tristan si Celine hanggang makauwi ito sa kanila araw araw[!]”

 

There’s something to the love-connection method as Tristan came in 10th (92.29 General Average) in the boards while Celine was 11th  (92.14 GA). And, we can rest assured that Tristan and Celine pretty much worked this out in their heads without using their fingers, that’s just .15 of a point coming between their scores.

 

It takes discipline and focus, explained Prof. Domingo. That’s the key to the lovebirds’/shiny-new-accountants’ success. And that’s the standard that all young’uns should be gunning for.

 

“Hindi hadlang ang lovelife, para maabot ang mga pangarap,” waxed Domingo with some accountant humor, “DAHIL ANG TUNAY NA ACCOUNTANT, HINDI LANG TRIAL BALANCE ANG KAYANG I-BALANCE.”

 

”DAPAT PATI ACADS AT LOVELIFE. :)”

 

And if there still isn’t enough sugar in that coffee you smell when you wake up, “Nga pala, they will also celebrate their 2ND Anniversary TODAY, 10/17/2012. ♥”

 

The cherry on top of their board success and bright future is that they really are a cute couple.
