Timothy Bradley said Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao should not retire just yet after a dominant victory against him on Sunday (PHL time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao, 37, has earlier announced his retirement from the boxing in order to concentrate on his political career.

The Sarangani representative is running for a Senate seat in the May elections, so he decided to hang up his gloves after his bout with Bradley.

His rival, however, thinks he still has a lot of fight let in him.

"Manny shouldn't retire," Bradley said in the post-fight press conference.

"He's the best fighter I ever faced, to be honest with you," he said. "He's explosive, he's fast, he's strong."

Pacquiao knocked down Bradley twice and went for the knock out victory, but the American fighter hung on until the end.

The fight went to the score cards, and Pacquiao easily won in a unanimous decision with identical 116-110 from the three judges.

Bradley, for his part, said he has no retirement plans either.

"I'm not done yet. I can still fight. I got beat by a legend. I'll be back. This ain't gonna stop me," he said. —JST, GMA News
