It's a trite message trumpeted after the new Miss Universe has been picked—everyone's a winner for her respective fans. One might get sick of hearing it, but trite isn't synonymous with untrue.

There are candidates who, despite not being crowned, go on to win some other way. These beauty queens prove that there are victories beyond the competition.

Miss Canada Siera Bearchell

Bearchell glided through Top 13 and Top 9 at the 65th Miss Universe grand coronation event on Monday. Fans were disheartened that she failed to make it to Top 6, as they believe that she would've slayed in the Question and Answer portion.

The beauty queen made a positive buzz throughout the pageant with her message of self-love and representing bigger bodies onstage.

In her post-pageant note on Instagram, Bearchell declared, "This is the generation of body diversity. This is the time we start working together to redefine the global vision of beauty."

She's not going to wait for a crown to fight for the issues she cares about.

Miss Netherlands Zoey Ivory

She's got curls and she's going to bounce to Beyoncé. Ivory didn't make it to the Top 13, but there's video evidence that she likely enjoyed every moment of the pageant.

A video of the beauty queen acing the "Single Ladies" dance during the final rehearsals went viral and she quickly won the hearts of millions.

In an Instagram post, Ivory thanked fans for their sweet messages.

"The girl with the natural curls and tattoos who does crazy dances to 'Single Ladies' unfortunately didn't make it to the #Top13 of #MissUniverse. But I'll make the top of something else that comes on my path," she wrote.

No crown? No problem! Just keep dancing.

Miss Bulgaria Violina Ancheva

Like Miss Bulgaria 2015 Radost Todorova, whose BFF moment during the bungled Miss Universe announcement became a meme, Miss Bulgaria 2016 Violina Ancheva also etched herself onto the hearts of Filipino pageant fans.

After the pageant, Ancheva announced that she'll be giving her gown away for free to one lucky teen for prom night.

The gown's recipient Zyra Nicole Cifra, her mother Issay Gallano, and the rest of the country will remember her generosity for a very long time.

Miss Haiti Raquel Pélissier

So close, yet so far? Raquel Pélissier may not have won the title, but at least she'll have the time to get back on her research.

Pélissier is not just a showstopping beauty, she's also working on a cure for blindness.

A little louder for people at the back: Pélissier can rock a bikini onstage and she can also do research in regenerating the optic nerve.

Miss Sierra Leone Hawa Kamara

Kamara has the distinction of becoming the very first woman to represent Sierra Leone on the Miss Universe stage.

"It is very important for Sierra Leone to be a part of Miss Universe. We have gone through so many tragedies in our country, like the Ebola virus, and civil war. People (from Sierra Leone) don't really get opportunities ... because (others) think we're not capable or that, as a country, we're not safe," Kamara said in an interview with CNN.

Kamara hopes that her presence at the pageant helps people see a different side of Sierra Leone and inspire them to visit the country.

Miss Philippines Maxine Medina

Medina wasn't just competing in the Miss Universe pageant, she was also keeping her head up while the entire country put her under the microscope.

The Filipina beauty queen kept her winning smile despite everything and never wavered in her belief that representing the Philippines is a great honor.

Her experience in the pageant is a lesson in grace. Medina kept her focus on the people supporting her and humbly admitted that she made a mistake when people pointed out that Imelda Marcos didn't invent the terno.

Instead of letting people drag her down, she extended gratitude to the people who lent their support.

Medina, even without the crown, was a true queen.
