Four injured in Las Piñas bar shooting

Four individuals were injured, one of them critically, during a shooting incident at a bar in Las Piñas City, Marisol Abduraman reported Tuesday on “24 Oras.”

A CCTV camera recorded how two groups were having fun at the bar when a commotion broke out.

According to the Las Piñas Police's investigation, several of the merry-makers had jostled each other in the bathroom. When they got back to their tables, matters escalated further.

“Nagsigawan, palitan ng di magandang salita hanggang itong isang grupo tumayo,” said Las Piñas City Chief of Police Colonel Sandro Jay Tafalla.

(They were yelling and cursing at each other until one group stood up.)

The floor manager tried to calm things down.

“Doon naman nag-hysterical itong babae na grupo ng mga biktima, nagsisigaw hanggang itong isang suspect natin, itong alyas Boss, ay inutusan si alyas Dexter na utusan, 'Barilin mo na yan! Barilin mo na yan,” said Tafalla.

(A woman became hysterical and started yelling until our suspect, alias Boss, commanded alias Dexter to shoot.)

Dexter shot four individuals. One woman was in critical condition after being shot in the head, while the other three victims were shot in different parts of their bodies.

Authorities filed frustrated murder charges against alias Dexter and Boss, as well as three other unidentified suspects.

Police later discovered that the two suspects were previously involved in crimes, with one of them charged with frustrated murder.

GMA Integrated News tried to interview the bar owner, who refused to give a statement. The victims also did not want to give statements.

Meanwhile, authorities said that guns should not be allowed in establishments.

“Ang pagdadala ng baril bawal po yan. Regardless sa kanyang katayuan sa buhay, military, police, bawal po yan kahit may permit to carry,” Tafalla added.
