Michelle Madrigal shares how she disciplines her daughter
Michelle Madrigal discussed in her Instagram account how she tried to discipline her daughter Anika and the response she got from her.
In her post she said, "I know this page is mostly for workouts, motivation and inspiration for women all over the world. But today I just want to share my WHY."
The female transformation coach revealed when and how she started her personal development journey.
"I started my personal development journey in the beginning of this pandemic. It has taught me to really step out of my comfort zone and to do what I truly love!"
Michelle continued her post by sharing the reason she is focused on her goals.
"My daughter is the reason why I want to achieve my goals (personal & career)! I am her role model and this is why I'm learning how to navigate and teach her the values I want that I didn't get growing up. There's obviously bumps along the way but motherhood will never be perfect."
Michelle added that she tried a way to discipline Anika and shared how her daughter responded in the situation.
"I am learning how to quiet my mind and stop myself from being so frustrated when I discipline her.
"See, I grew up in a typical Filipino home where smacking/hitting and giving “palo” is the way to go. But I see that it has affected my daughter the way she defends herself in certain situations."
The former actress said that she saw Anika imitating her actions.
"I see her imitate my actions when I am angry and it has given me the perspective to fully take control of what I do and say around her. I want to be a better person for her."
She said her journey continues and she is seeing herself evolve into the person she is dreaming of.
"As this journey unfolds, I am seeing myself evolve into this person I have always dreamed of. An empowered leader. An exceptional mother. A loving wife. A motivator. A loyal friend. A goal getter. A genuine coach."
Michelle is now living in the US with her daughter Anika and her husband Troy Woolfolk.
