Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold celebrates World Children's Day

By Ron Lim

It's less than a month until she competes for the Miss International crown, but Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold is making sure that she still brings attention to the advocacies she supports.

In the latest post on her Instagram account, Hannah shared several photos of her with schoolchildren, such as of her reading a book to them as well as handing out school supplies.

In the caption to the post, Hannah commemorated World Children's Day and called on her followers to stand up for children by “listening to the issues that matter to their generation such as quality education.”

She then told her followers that this can be done as simply as by “lending a reading book, donating school supplies, creating welcoming and safe learning spaces for all genders and empowering our teachers.”

The post comes after a couple of organizations have arranged for send-offs for Hannah as she is set to compete in the Miss International pageant in Japan on December 13.

Last week, the Binibining Pilipinas organization set up a send-off for Hannah that she described as “a dream come true.” During the send-off, Hannah had on a Manny Halasan gown that looked great beside the flower arrangement beside her.

The Department of Science and Technology also arranged a send-off for Hannah that she described as “beautiful and heartwarming.”

Hannah also promised that she would raise the flag not only of the country but science and technology as well.

Should Hannah win this Miss International crown, she would be the fourth Filipino queen to do so, following Precious Lara Quigaman, Bea Santiago, and Kylie Verzosa.

Hannah is just one of the queens participating in an international pageant this last two months of the year. Miss Tourism World Philippines Justine Felizarta recently left for Vietnam to compete in the Miss Tourism World pageant to be held on December 3.

The Miss International crowns is one of the remaining titles that the country can compete for, after the Binibining Pilipinas organization recently announced that they would be withdrawing from the Miss Grand International pageant.
