Basilica of the Annunciations (Nazareth, Israel)

The Church of the Annunciation is located in Nazareth, Northern Israel. It was built in the place believed to be the house of Virgin Mary, and it is also the site where the Annunciation took place. It is where Angel Gabriel announced that Virgin Mary would conceive the Son of God and name him Jesus.

Shepherds' Fields (Bethlehem, Palestine)

The Shepherds' Fields is considered to be the place where angels appeared before shepherds to announce the birth of Jesus Christ.

Church of the Nativity (Bethlehem, Palestine)

It is a church built around the birthplace of Jesus Christ. They've put a marker on the actual location where Jesus was born called it the Silver Star.

Mount of Temptation  (Jericho, Palestine)

The Mount of Temptation is located in Jericho, the oldest city in the world. It is believed to be the place where the devil tempted Jesus Christ when he fasted for 40 days. A monastery and a medieval cave-church have been built on the Mount of Temptation.

Site of the First Miracle/Wedding in Cana (Galilee, Israel)

A church now stands where the Wedding at Cana originally took place. It is now called the Franciscan Wedding Church, or simply Wedding Church. It is said to be the place where Jesus Christ performed his first miracle of turning water into wine. The church has become a popular site for renewal of wedding vows.

Sea of Galilee (Israel)

The Sea of Galilee is actually a freshwater lake in Israel. It is where Jesus Christ had performed several miracles including walking on water, calming a storm, and giving his disciples a miraculous catch of fish.

Church of Transfiguration (Mt. Tabor, Israel)

It is believed to be the site where the Transfiguration of Christ took place. It is said to be the place where Jesus transfigured and spoke with Moses and Elijah in front of apostles James, Peter, and John.

Site of the Last Supper (Jerusalem, Israel)

The site is believed to be where the Last Supper took place, and it is now referred to as the Cenacle or Upper Room. It is a room located in David's Tomb Compound, which is considered to be the burial site of King David of Israel.

Garden of Gethsemane (Jerusalem, Israel)

The Garden of Gethsemane is located at the foot of Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. It is said to be where the Agony in the Garden occurred. Jesus Christ prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane after feeling overwhelming sadness and anger. His apostles John, James, and Peter accompanied him, but they fell asleep while he was praying. The Garden of Gethsemane is also where temple guards of Sanhedrin arrested Jesus Christ.

Palm Sunday Road (Jerusalem, Israel)

Catholics and Christians celebrate Jesus's triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday each Holy Week. Although the original route that Jesus took was from Bethany to Jerusalem, the current Palm Sunday Road starts from the Mount of Olives and ends inside the Old City of Jerusalem.

Church of All Nations/Basilica of the Agony (Jerusalem, Israel)

Enshrined inside the Church of All Nations is a section of the bedrock where Jesus Christ is said to have prayed during the Agony in the Garden. It is located next to the Garden of Gethsemane.

It is believed to be where the Miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes happened. Situated within the area are two churches: the Church of the Multiplication and the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter.

Jesus Christ selected the town of Capernaum as the center of his public ministry in Galilee. It is also where he healed several people including a man possessed by an evil spirit, Simon Peter's mother-in-law who had a fever, and a paralytic.

The Mount of Beatitudes is believed to be where Jesus Christ delivered the Sermon on the Mount. It is located by the Sea of Galilee near Tabgha and Capernaum. Currently, there is a Roman Catholic Church situated on the small hill called the Church of Beatitudes.

Mount Sinai in Cairo, Egypt is considered to be the site where the Ten Commandments were given to Moses.

Mount Nebo (Jordan)

In the final chapter of the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses climbed Mount Nebo and is greeted with a view of the Promised Land. The cities of Jericho and Jerusalem are often visible from Mount Nebo. Some of the must-see attractions on Mount Nebo are the Moses Memorial that houses Byzantine mosaics and the Brazen Serpent statue.

Famous tales of Babylon in the Bible include the story of the Tower of Babel, that according to the book of Genesis, is about humanity's desire for power as they tried to build a tower to reach the heavens. Babylon's remnants can be found within the middle-Eastern city called Hillah, which is located in Iraq.

The ancient city of Petra, located 50 miles south of the Dead Sea, is said to be the biblical place called Valley of Moses. According to the biblical history and tradition, this is the place where Moses hit a rock and brought forth water for his followers.

Machaerus is a hilltop fortress located 25 km southeast of the Jordan River on the eastern side of the Dead Sea. According to all four canonical gospels of the New Testament, it is where John the Baptist was imprisoned and executed.
