EXCLUSIVE: Max Collins, na-pressure sa pag-dub sa boses ni Mama Mary sa 'Jesus: His Life'
“Napakahirap.”
Ito ang pag-amin ni Max Collins sa GMANetwork.com nang malaman niyang bibigyang boses niya ang ina ni Hesus na si Mary sa upcoming Lenten special ng Kapuso network na Jesus: His Life.
Sa naganap na dubbing session noong unang linggo ng Marso, naikuwento ni Max na napakalaki ng role niya sa serye.
Aniya, “Napakahirap, siyempre, kasi si Mama Mary 'yun. Hindi kung sinu-sino lang na character, 'di ba? So, siyempre na-pressure ako but I'm thankful na I got through it, thanks to my wonderful director.
“You know I think at the end of the day, because it's Mama Mary, sobrang lapit sa puso ko 'yung story ni Hesus, of course.
"And Christian po ako, so I'm just really thankful to be a part of the series.”
Maliban sa pressure, nakaka-relate rin si Max kay Mama Mary dahil nagdadalang tao siya.
“I just tried my best to do her character. 'Yung kakaibang flavor na binigay ko sa kanya would have to be just the emotional aspect of 'yung pinagdaanan ni Mama Mary.
"And I also tried to sync it kung ano 'yung pinagdadaanan ko as a person--emotions ko if I have a child.
“Well, I too am expecting now, so parang dun ako nakakarelate sa nga pinagdadaanan niya with her baby, si Baby Jesus, is something I'm thinking of.
“Na kung ako 'yun, how will it be for me when I have my baby and going through what she went through.
"So, malalim talaga 'yung story and malalim rin 'yung connection sa akin as a mom.”
Nang matapos ang kanyang session, malaki raw ang naging respeto ni Max sa talents na nagbo-voice acting.
“I think it's different and similar at the same time.Similar siya kasi kailangan mo pa rin umarte kasi kailangan may emotions pa rin. Pero, ibang iba siya.
“Iba na 'yung appreciation ko for people who dub, a lot of our films and the shows that we watch, because hindi siya madaling gawin.
"Iba pa rin 'yung voice acting and how it translates sa show.
“Bilang aktres, when we act, if hindi mo maramdaman 'yung emotion through our voice, makikita mo siya sa face namin.
"But when you only use your voice, mahirap talaga siyang i-translate 'yung emotion na gusto mong iparating sa audience. So I have a great respect for people who dub.”
