By Racquel Quieta

DIY projects have been among the obsessions that many people had during the quarantine period. From DIY home improvements to DIY face shields, face masks, gym equipment, and fashion accessories, name it, people seemed to have tried all the DIY projects known to man.

One popular fashion DIY project is creating DIY tie-dye shirts. Usually, tie-dye shirts come in colorful designs.

But Prima Donnas star Vince Crisostomo did a different kind of DIY tie-dye shirt project during his guest appearance on Mars Pa More.

Instead of using a white shirt and different dye colors, he used a black shirt and bleach.

Vince said he enjoys doing DIY projects in school and with her 15-year-old sister at home.

And he himself was also surprised at first that the DIY tie-dye shirt can be done using a black shirt.

If you're interested in doing this DIY project, all you need are a black shirt, bleach, rubber bands, water, and a basin.

Here are the simple steps in making your very own DIY black tie-dye shirt.

1. Put water in the basin, just deep enough to submerge the shirt.
2. Submerge the shirt in the basin with water.
3. Wring out the shirt and dry.
4. Lay the shirt on the table. Using a fork, twirl shirt in the center, near the chest.
5. Secure the curled up shirt with rubber bands.
6. Pour bleach onto the shirt. Make sure you put bleach on each side (top and bottom).
7. Remove the rubber bands and wait until it dries and the color develops.

Aside from this DIY black tie-dye shirt, Vince has also tried doing the DIY colorful tie-dye shirt, and he also made a DIY phone charger holder using a box.

It seems like Vince is really in the running to become the DIY king.
