Singer-songwriter and GMA Music artist Vilmark has released the performance video for his latest single "INOWY" (I'm Not Okay Without You). This powerful ballad is his third self-composed and first all-English single under GMA Music.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Vilmark revealed he was hesitant at first to compose an English song due to his lack of confidence in creating the melody.
"Kasi ako rin po 'yung nagbigay ng melody ng song. Kapag kasi Filipino or Tagalog, masasabi ko na more confident ako kasi 'yun 'yung first language natin. And medyo mabulaklak 'yung words na mayroon ako kapag sa Tagalog," Vilmark said.
"Ibang-iba kasi s'ya sa English. Unlike kapag sa Tagalog, ipagpapareho-pareho mo lang 'yung sa dulo para at least medyo rhyme s'ya. Sobrang iba na English. I'm just happy na it turned out well. And, I'm excited for everyone to hear my new single na 'INOWY,'" he added.
"INOWY" is a sequel to Vilmark's sophomore single "Lisan," the song he wrote for his late father, who passed away in December 2022. While "Lisan" was about feeling the loss and having many questions, "INOWY" is about accepting and acknowledging the loss, and admitting that you're not okay.
"INOWY" landed on the eighth spot on the iTunes Philippines chart when it was released on January 26. It is now available for streaming and download on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other digital music platforms worldwide.
