In a wild finish on Sunday, Emilio Aguinaldo College took down league-leading De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, 80-75, to open their second round campaign in NCAA Season 98.
With the two teams on the opposite ends of the results, their reactions were undoubtedly contrasting.
The Generals were shouting and jubilant inside their dugout.
Nat Cosejo stepped up in the absence of suspended teammates Ralph Robin and King Gurtiza.
Meanwhile, right after the loss, Benilde head coach Charles Tiu asked the players to do some drills on court.
In an interview, Tiu said he was disappointed with the Blazers' performance.
"I’ve been too nice to these guys. I let them get away with a lot of things, give them a lot of freedom. And when you give that freedom, you expect responsibility, sabi ni Spiderman ba 'yun?" Tiu said. "But they haven’t been – I think they’ve been abusing our kindness. So yeah, ganon talaga." Benilde still sits atop the standings with 7 wins and 2 losses, while EAC is still at the bottom of the standings with a win and 9 losses.
