Barangay in Caloocan placed under total lockdown — Mayor Malapitan

A barangay in Caloocan City was placed on total lockdown due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the area.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Mayor Oscar Malapitan said Barangay 93 was placed on lockdown beginning July 12 until July 18. Malapitan said the number of COVID-19 cases in the said barangay already rose to 28.

Malapitan said food packs would be provided for the 1,100 households in the said barangay while the lockdown is in place.

Tuluy-tuloy ang laban natin sa COVID-19," he said.

The mayor also urged residents to cooperate and follow the health protocols amid the pandemic. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
