eTravel system with integrated CFO Certificate launched
The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) Certificate is now fully integrated into the eTravel system, making the departure process more convenient for Filipinos leaving for permanent migration or long-term residency.
The integration, launched Friday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, also streamlines requirements for Filipinos participating in relevant exchange programs.
The CFP Certificate is a mandatory document for Filipinos departing for:
- Permanent migration or long-term residency
- Participation in the Au Pair program in Europe
- Participation in the Exchange Visitor Program (EVP) in the United States
To obtain the CFO Certificate, applicants should register at cfo.gov.ph and comply with the necessary requirements.
With the CFO Certificate now integrated into the eTravel system, travelers no longer need to go through multiple channels to secure their documents.
The eTravel platform, accessible via the eGovPH app or etravel.gov.ph, serves as a one-stop travel declaration form, reducing processing times and improving overall convenience.

According to a report on Saksi, Secretary Dante "Klink" Ang II said the enhancement was one way to monitor departing Filipinos and ensure that they do not fall victims to human traffickers and scammers.
Upon completing the requirements on the system, the Bureau of Immigration will be able to access the relevant information as part of a departing Filipino's eTravel records.
For specific concerns regarding the CFO Certificate, Filipinos may email info@cfo.gov.ph for general concerns, or ofcors.techsupport@cfo.gov.ph for technical support. They may also reach the commission via phone number (02) 8552-4700.
On August 27 last year, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. issued Administrative Order 24 institutionalizing the eTravel system as the country's official travel declaration mechanism for international passengers and crew.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) started the eTravel system in 2022 in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Transportation (DOTr), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), and the Department of Tourism (DOT)—to streamline travel processes for those entering and exiting the Philippines. — Sherylin Untalan/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
