Filipinos and Filipino Americans in the World of Books .. We are in the Literary Map! San Francisco is the place this weekend! Please join us in San Francisco and browse at our offerings of select titles written by Filipino and Filipino American authors. Support 25 Filipino and Filipino American authors who will be booksigning at various hours during the two-day event. Pick up an autographed copy of their books for your private library. Participating authors are biographers, culinary experts, essayists, folklorists, historians, linguists, memorists, novelists, poets, short story writers and storytellers for children, women and peace advocates and more! At the booksigning, Tilay Angbetic; Joy Barrios; Catherine Ceniza Choy, John D. Blanco; Sarita Echavez See; Luis H. Francia; Miki Garcia; Romeo Honorio; Peter Jamero; Vina A. Lanzona; Dorina Lazo Gilmore, Lilia Lopez Rahman; Herminia Meñez-Coben; Lorenzo Paran lll, Alex G. Paman; Celia Ruiz Tomlinson; Carlene Sobrino Bonnivier; Marivi Soliven Blanco; Geraldine Solon, Samantha Sotto; Frank Tinio Lopez; Caridad Concepcion Vallangca; Benito M. Vergara Jr.; R. Zamora Linmark and Jay Wertz. The festival will feature a balagtasan by Teo Antonio, Mike Corza and Vim Nadera, and National Artist Virgilio Almario will speak on 12 selected poems of Rizal. There will also be panels on writing and getting published. Panelists include Jose Dalisay, Marivi Blanco, Isagani Cruz, Criselda Yabes, Carljoe Javier and Samantha Sotto. A children's area will be set up for both kids and adults, with a storytelling room and talks on writing and publishing children's books.
