Eat, stay and love at Discovery Country Suites

Mention Tagaytay and exquisite, sensory experiences do not usually come to mind.  The latest offering of Discovery Country Suites, a boutique hotel with only 7 luxury suites located along Tagaytay ridge, may very well change that perception.    

 

The Verbena Interlude package capitalizes on Discovery Country Suites’ renowned features - fine accommodations, personalized service and its’ exquisite and award-winning cuisine.  Rates start at P 8,500++ and includes an overnight stay at the French - Mediterranean inspired Saint-Tropez or the Spanish-flavored Andalucia suite, Wine and Cheese during the social  hour (5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.), and a choice from 3 gourmet set menus prepared by the talented culinary team of Restaurant Verbena.*  

 

The set menus may be availed of for lunch or dinner, depending on the preference of the guest, and will include dishes such as Pan Roasted Seafood (Chilean Sea Bass, Salmon, Snapper and Prawns) served with gingered pumpkin puree, brown butter sauce, and pilaf rice, and the Napa Valley California-inspired Bouchon`s Chocolate Marquise (rich chocolate terrine and vanilla custard sauce) from Verbena’s Classic; Organic Mozzarella Cheese Pot served fondue style with spiced tomato sugo, fresh Tagaytay herbs and warm focaccia, and U.S. Angus Beef "Goulash" - slow-cooked in roasted onion and caraway sauce. Other dishes in the menu include Norwegian Salmon Fillet served with apple-rosemary puree, vegetable Julienne, and horseradish, or Grilled U.S. Pork "Little Italy" served with seared polenta, marinated roasted peppers, and balsamico. Dessert selections will include  Pears "Belle Helene" (homemade chocolate and macadamia ice cream) served with salted caramel cream sauce.
