This not-to-be-missed event is a fantastic chance to learn salsa and Latin dance from the best. The world’s top female salsa performer Magna Gopal, the legendary Leon Rose, and the world’s number one salsa DJ Henry Knowles are among the more than 25 performers participating in the congress.

Salsa is a syncretic dance form with origins from the Cuban Son (circa 1920s) and Afro-Cuban dance (specifically Afro-Cuban rumba). It is generally associated with the salsa music style, although it may be danced under other types of tropical music. Salsa is normally a partner dance, although there are forms such as a line dance form where the dancers dance individually, and a round dance form "Rueda de Casino" where multiple couples exchange partners in a circle. Salsa can be improvised or performed with a set routine. Salsa is a popular social dance throughout South America as well as in North America, Europe, Australia, and some countries in Asia and the Middle East.
Beginners and long-time dancers of all ages and backgrounds will get the rare opportunity to learn salsa basics and advance, spin and turn technique, partner dancing, styling at more than 40 dance workshops. There are live performances each night and all-night after parties.
