Ateneo ‘Sanggu’ President is one of the Ten Outstanding Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines 2012

Gabriel Ignacio P. Alejo, (4th year BS Health Sciences) President of the Sanggunian ng Mga Mag-aaral ng Mga Paaralang Loyola or ‘Sanggu’,  has been named one of the Ten Outstanding Model Students of the Philippines 2012.

 

Alejo was awarded last December 30, 2012, on the occasion of the 116th anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal's martyrdom. Out of the 68 candidates this year, Alejo was chosen one of ten outstanding students, together with another Atenean, Javier Leonardo V. Rugeria of the Ateneo De Naga University.

 

The Ten Jose Rizal Model Students were chosen based on the criteria set by the Order of Knights of Rizal like their community involvement, academic excellence and the like. The Order of the Knights of Rizal through its Supreme Council gives out the award annually. Press release from Ateneo de Manila University
