Chief Justice Sereno to lead groundbreaking of the new IBP Tower

Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno leads distinguished guests in the ground breaking ceremonies of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines’ (IBP) new IBP Tower on February 13, 2013, 10 a.m. at the IBP Building on Julia Vargas Street, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.   

The Board of Governors and National Officers of the bar association, led by President Roan Libarios shall also be present to witness this historic event, which is part of the continuing observation of the association’s 40th anniversary.Also expected are the heads of the various chapters of the IBP, nationwide and past IBP Presidents, including Sen. Edgardo Angara as well as members of the media

 

Angara, who was IBP president in 1978 facilitated the donation by Ortigas and Company, Ltd. Partnership (OCLP) in 1978 of the IBP's property where its current four storey building stands.  Now, with the assistance of the OCLP, the new tower shall rise in its stead and shall house expanded facilities, parking and office space for the bar association.  Press release and photo from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
