PUP hosts 'NCR 7th Tanghal' theater festival

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines plays host to a regional event dubbed “NCR 7th Tanghal: National University and College Theater Festival and Conference” on February 18-20, 2013.

 

Hundreds of young theater artists and enthusiasts from the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University and other tertiary schools in the National Capital Region are expected to join the three-day arts festival at the Apolinario Mabini (Sta. Mesa) campus of the country’s largest state university.

 

A day-long pre-festival activity, “Seminar sa Pagsusuri ng Dula,” was held on February 16 at the Conference Room of the PUP Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resources Center. It will feature Prof. Ricardo Abad (ADMU), Prof. Jazmin Llana (DLSU), Prof. Glecy Atienza (UP) and Prof. Roberto Mendoza of the Manila Tytana Colleges as resource persons.

 

A major component of the National Arts Month celebrations, the NCR 7th Tanghal includes the following activities/performances:
