DLSU's Centennial Coffee Table Book "The Future Begins Here" bagged an Anvil Bronze Award as well as the Anvil Award of Excellence in the recent 48th Anvil Awards held last March 6 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

Project Head Raissa Hechanova-Posadas and DLSU Office for Strategic Communications Executive Director Jose Mari Magpayo.
As defined by PRSP, the Bronze Anvil Award is awarded to a PR tool that stands out from among those already rated as “Excellent” in their respective categories while the Anvil Award of Excellence is presented to an outstanding program or tool that surpasses the standards set in a specific category. Documenting DLSU’s 100 years in high style, “The Future Begins Here” is a 320-page publication which gives the readers a view of hundreds of images of DLSU throughout the century, accompanied by essays from respected writers and media veterans. Various themes played out in each of the book’s nine sections, all paying tribute to the rich Lasallian heritage: Band of Brothers by Jose “Butch” Dalisay; Heritage, Heroism, History: The St. La Salle Hall by Augusto Villalon; Movers of Growth and Progress: Lasallians in Business and The Lasallian Public Servant by Elfren Cruz and Leandro Cruz; Shooting for Excellence in Sports by Joaquin Henson; Social Sciences and Education in DLSU by Renato de Castro; On the Cutting Edge: Science and Technology by Alvin Culaba; Arts and Culture in the Lasallian Spirit by Carla Pacis; and La Salle’s Green Champions by Charlson Ong. Isagani Cruz wrote the Prologue and Epilogue. Net proceeds of the book went to the One La Salle Scholarship fund, the centerpiece project of the DLSU centennial celebration, which aims to raise two billion pesos to support 18,000 scholars in La Salle schools nationwide.
