Travel green for healing, uplifting, and rejuvenation in faith

Pilgrims of Green Faith Travels visit churches in Tarlac on Saturday, April 27, for its second healing pilgrimage to the province where past pilgrims experienced healing and blessing during the group’s first pilgrimage in May last year.

Highlighting the Healing Pilgrimage to Tarlac of Green Faith Travels on April 27 is the pilgrim veneration of the relic of the True Cross of Christ enshrined at the Church of the Risen Christ in Monasterio de Tarlac.
The highlight of the pilgrimage is the veneration of the relic of the True Cross of Christ after the Holy Mass in honor of the Blessed Mother at the Church of the Risen Christ in Monasterio de Tarlac. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to pray, meditate and reflect before the sacred relic—the only one of its kind in Asia—contained in a silver reliquary and enshrined in 2007 at the monastic ground of the Servants of the Risen Christ community at the Mount of Resurrection, Eco-Tourism Park, in Bgy. Lubigan, San Jose. Formed last year as a non-profit faith and environment advocacy group of church servants, Green Faith Travels has adopted the mission of leading Catholics who seek healing, uplifting or rejuvenation in their faith or life through spiritual journeys. Pilgrims will also visit churches within Tarlac City: San Sebastian Cathedral and the parishes of Our Lady of Lourdes at Bgy. Central in Hacienda Luisita, patterned after the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France, St. Michael the Archangel (a new church to be visited), St. Raphael the Archangel, and San Lorenzo Ruiz. Their parish priests generously welcomed and blessed Green Faith Travels’ pilgrims last year.

The pilgrimage fee of P2,100 per person includes round-trip transport via air-conditioned tourist bus, breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, juice packs and a pilgrim’s kit. Deadline of full fee payment is on Monday, April 15. Paid pilgrims will get their seat assignments on a first-come, first-served basis. For a group of five pilgrims, Green Faith Travels will extend 25 percent discount on the fee of one pilgrim, while the other four pilgrims will pay the full pilgrimage fee. Meanwhile, Green Faith Travels now accepts reservations for its small-group travel to honor San Isidro Labrador on his feast day and join the celebration of Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon on Wednesday, May 15. The group has also firmed up plans for its second Marian Pilgrimage of Faith and Heritage in Pangasinan on Saturday, October 20, to celebrate the Holy Rosary Month. Marian devotees will visit the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag; Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Dagupan City; Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church and Shrine of Señor Divino Tesoro in Calasiao.
