Run for children at World Vision Run 2013
Running is arguably one of the hottest sports in the country today. Some do it for health, some for the fun of it. But what if with every kilometer you run, you can help send a poor kid to school?
Following the success of its charity run event last year, child-focused NGO World Vision is again inviting everyone to join World Vision Run 2013, a race to raise funds for the benefit of 8,000 children who belong to some poorest communities in the country. Dubbed as the “most meaningful running event of the year”, proceeds will go to World Vision’s child sponsorship program. The farther you run, the more children you’ll be able to help!
World Vision Run 2013 will be held on June 23, 2013 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, with expected participants of 5,000, including World Vision celebrity ambassadors, for the 5K, 10K and 21K categories. Prizes await the winners of each category. Participants will also get the chance to win special prizes from the raffle. To register, visit www.runrio.com or call 887-6194. Registration is until June 19, 2013.
World Vision Run 2013 is co-presented by running events group RunRio and Tupperware Brands.
