Town & Country's August cover: Leni Robredo on keeping Jesse's legacy alive

A year after her husband’s untimely demise, Leni Robredo devotes her time to their three daughters, as well as to her thousands of constituents now that she takes on the responsibility of being the Representative of the third congressional district of Camarines Sur. Town & Country spends a day with Leni, who graces the cover of its August issue, as she juggles work and motherhood.

What protects her from being dragged into the political circus was the untarnished reputation of her husband, the late Jesse Robredo, who served as mayor of Naga for 19 years and later as the Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary. His brand of leadership, good governance and integrity is what Leni hopes to continue in government to keep his legacy alive.

Leni is also included in the issue’s 101 People You Must Meet Right Now. “It’s a list of interesting personalities who’ve been in the news or are being buzzed about for doing good work or excelling in what they do, people we’d love to have a drink with or share a meal with if given the chance,” said Town & Country editor-in-chief Yvette Fernandez.

Other categories are Government, Advocacy & Literacy, Gastronomy, and Show Business.
