Suicide Prevention Infographic Contest to be held in September

In commemoration of the World Suicide Prevention Month in September 2013, the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation (NGF) is holding a Suicide Prevention Infographic Contest (SPIC) with the aim of increasing the public’s awareness on warning signs of suicide and available resources to help a person who is suicidal.

Contest participants are asked to design an infographic based on the Suicide First Aid Guidelines for the Philippines, a set of guidelines that was developed to help community members recognize the risk of suicide and how to respond to it before professional help can be sought.

The SPIC is open to both individuals and teams 18 years old and older, from any location in the Philippines. The winning entry will be published different media formats including but not limited to print, digital and broadcast.

The contest runs from September 1 to 30, 2013.  Winners will be announced on October 10, 2013, which is the World Mental Health Day. The grand prize winner will take home Php 10,000 cash and electronic gadgets while three consolation prize winners will each take home Php 5,000 and gift items.

For more information about the contest mechanics, please visit the NGF website or email ngfoundation@gmail.com.

NGF is a non-stock non-profit organization dedicated to bringing depression to light through advocacy, education and crisis lines.
