World Vision, Westmont ink partnership to ensure appetizing Christmas

Even before the ‘ber’ months set in, World Vision is already in the thick of preparations for its 2013 Noche Buena Campaign.  This year, it found a new partner in Westmont Pharmaceuticals’ Appebon Kid, its brand of multivitamins for children.

Through the ‘Happetite for Every Child’ project, Westmont hopes to raise funds for World Vision’s Noche Buena Campaign, wherein Christmas meal packs will be distributed to families of World Vision-supported communities in selected areas of the Philippines.

‘Happetite For Every Child’ project, which started in August until November, will donate two pesos to the Noche Buena Program for every empty box of Appebon Kid that will be collected from the 200 participating schools in key cities nationwide.

“We are happy and honored to partner with World Vision in this campaign, which runs parallel with the goal of Appebon Kid of providing good health to Filipino children,” said Renato Castañeda, Vice President-General Manager of Westmont Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of United Laboratories Inc. (Unilab).

World Vision feels equally honored to be the chosen foundation of Appebon Kid.

“Our Noche Buena campaign is on its eighth year and we thank Westmont and Appebon Kid for partnering with us. The funds raised will result to priceless Christmas memories for our sponsored children,” said Filomena Portales, Interim National Director of World Vision.
    
The ‘Happetite For Every Child’ project will cover selected areas in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Batangas, Baguio, Bicol, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, and Davao.
