Hawaii-based artist Van James in Manila for creativity workshops

The Institute for Steiner’s Ideas in Practice (ISIP) Philippines is proud to present international artist Van James in a workshop and lecture that will help participants deepen creativity through a re-discovery of the essence of shape, form and color. The lecture and the workshop will be held on September 27 and 28 respectively, at the San Lorenzo Village Multipurpose Hall in Makati.

On September 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., James will hold an evening lecture entitled “Of Being and Beholding: The Formative Power of Shapes and Patterns in Art and Nature.” This talk will focus on how nature’s forms and patterns influence the way people think and feel. On September 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., James will hold “Mandala: The Art of Centering Self,” a one-day workshop wherein he will share insights and research on the sacred art form of Mandalas, and have participants create their own symbols as part of a transformation process. Fee for the lecture is P500, while fee for the workshop is P3,200 (includes art materials and a free evening lecture pass).
