Adamson opens Vincentian Wing of its university museum

Adamson University will inaugurate the Vincentian Wing of its university museum on Friday, August 15, at 6 p.m.

Vincentian priests and brothers of the Congregation of the Mission, sisters belonging to the Daughters of Charity congregation, members of the Vincentian Family, alumni, representatives from the arts and culture sector, members of the Adamson family and the Adamson University community are expected to attend this important and historic occasion.

The Vincentian Wing exhibits the history of the university from 1964, the year it was turned over to the Vincentian priests and brothers of Congregation of the Mission, to the present.

The four Vincentian presidents who successfully steered the school to its present status as an institution offering quality Catholic education are given recognition together with the milestones that transpired during their respective terms.

The museum’s Founder’s Wing, a section that presents the life of the university’s founder, Dr. George Lucas Adamson, and the early years of the Adamson School of Industrial Chemistry and Engineering, was inaugurated last November 2012. Both wings were conceptualized and designed by the Ayala Museum and provided with interior components by Vertical Space Interiors owner Gilbert Razo, an Adamson alumnus.

The museum is on the ground floor of the SV building.
