Known as one of the Philippines’ most beautiful faces and talented artists, Heart Evangelista has been in the limelight since the tender age of 13. Growing up in the public eye, people have followed not only her career but also her personal life, with its share of challenges—especially when it came to her roller-coaster, bittersweet love life. “With my past relationships, I would do anything in the world for people to just love me,” Heart reflects. “My journey really hasn’t been easy,” says Heart. 

 

Like any other girl, she had her share of heartbreaks. But what sets her apart is how she dealt with it—Heart did not let the heartbreak consume her and instead, she rose above it and let it make her into a better person. Heart shares, “I worked on becoming a better person and nurturing what I’ve been blessed with, improving my skills and taking care of my health and beauty.” To heal and recover, Heart surrounded herself with good people and more importantly, learned to love herself. “How you get that glow, even if you’re feeling super bad, it’s really just loving yourself… You have to make sure you eat the right food, work out, you protect your skin.” 

 

Recently engaged, Heart believes beautiful things happen in time. “I think the reason why I say it’s the best relationship I’ve ever had is because he really brings out the best in me,” Heart says. With the encouragement of her fiancé and because she has learned to appreciate and love herself, Heart reveals, “He really brought out the woman in me, the woman I’m really supposed to be.” Heart inspires with this learning from her journey—“They say you’re blooming when you’re in love, but I think it’s when you take care of yourself, you love yourself that you truly bloom and look your most beautiful.”
