PHL real estate brokerage creates website with 14,000 listings

Online real estate brokerage firm Housing Interactive has created the Hoppler website, which they said was the largest Philippine online brokerage that lists down over 14,000 properties, with clients that include private individuals, BPOs, and embassies.

According to Hoppler chief operating officer Ramon Ballesca Jr., their website was different from other property websites as it listed down, not just the properties being handled by their 12 in-house licensed brokers, but also those of their 500 partner brokers, who are also licensed.

“We want to make the process between property owners and property seekers more efficient. We want to make it faster to search, buy, sell, rent, manage, and broker properties,” Ballesca explained.

“That way, more deals are closed. There are buyers and sellers out there but they don’t know each other. Our objective is to connect them. By going online, we reduce what could take days to minutes.”

At the Hoppler website homepage, users are given four options “Rent”, “Sale”, “Commercial”, and “Inquire”.

Those who want to rent properties, for example, just types in their chosen location and, using sliding buttons, they can choose their preferences: price, floor size, lot size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, pool, gym, garden, and so on.

“Our search is so powerful that it lets you choose more options than any site in the Philippines, narrowing down your options,” Ballesca explained.

He added that their listings also show landmarks, such as the nearest fuel station, church, supermarket, and hospital.

Ballesca likewise mentioned that they offer end-to-end services by licensed real estate brokers. “Our service is not limited to just getting you in touch with your new property but also includes negotiating, writing and processing contracts, and assisting you all the way until you move in,” he said.

Hoppler features properties in the greater Metro Manila area, including Makati City, Bonifacio Global City, Alabang, Ortigas, and Quezon City.

Hoppler can also be accessed through mobile phones.

Like other brokerage firms, Hoppler earns by charging a commission on the gross amount of the rental or sale price of the home. — DVM, GMA News
