Quirino Foundation lecture series kicks off with Winnie Monsod economic lecture
The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) in partnership with the President Elpidio Quirino Foundation (PEQF) is holding the 1st of a series of lectures in line with the celebration of the President Elpidio Quirino's 125th birthday celebration this year.

Professor Solita "Winnie" C. Monsod kicks off with a lecture on the Philippines' postwar economy under President Elpidio Quirino at the GT Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, Magsaysay Avenue, UP Diliman. It is aptly entitled: "The Economy and Polity: EQ 1948-1953."
“The lecture series was designed to give the youth today a better understanding of the challenges that our country faced after the war under the administration of President Elpidio Quirino,” said Atty. Aleli Angela “Lila” Quirino, President of the Quirino Foundation.
“We hope that by doing this, we are able to give them a wider and deeper perspective of history that will hopefully guide them when it’s their turn to lead our country,” she added.
