No monster sightings yet in the first 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' trailer

Eddie Redmayne has his wand at the ready in the announcement trailer for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", the Harry Potter prequel that doubles as author J.K. Rowling's screenwriting debut. It also marks the return of director David Yates to the Harry Potter universe. 

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a fictional required textbook in the wizarding school Hogwarts, written by"magizoologist" Newt Scamander. The movie will focus on the adventures Scamander had while doing research on magical creatures. 

Scamander will be played by Eddie Redmayne, joined by Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell. 

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is slated for a Philippine release in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX on November 17, 2016. —AT, GMA News
