Public anticipation running high with the 26th Travel Tour Expo opening this week
A few days before the 26th Travel Tour Expo (TTE) opens, anticipation is running high among Filipinos who are looking for the best possible travel deals and packages for the year.
To open tomorrow at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, this year’s edition of the expo will feature more than 400 travel and tourism related companies, associations, organizations, and even those from the diplomatic community.
TTE 2019 chairperson Marlene Dado Jante said they have placed emphasis on widening the packages and services they offer to the public.
“Even as the Travel Tour Expo is the biggest travel event in the country, every year we still try to expand the expo for it to reach and serve more of our countrymen. The Philippine Travel Agencies Association takes pride in being able to provide our countrymen with the opportunity to travel,” Jante said.
She said those who will be coming to the expo will be greeted with dropdown rates from all exhibitors and packages that will cover destinations to most parts of the world.
This year, the expo will again occupy the entire SMX Convention Center with a floor area of 16,230 square meters, feature more than 400 exhibitors, and have 994 booths, with foot traffic projected to reach at least 135,000.
The TTE will also feature major airlines, hotels and resorts, travel agencies, cruise lines, and theme parks from across the world. There will also be 16 national tourism organizations (NTO) and embassies participating in the expo.
“The Travel Tour Expo is the country’s one-stop-shop for all the travel needs and plans of our countrymen. What they will find at the expo will not be available elsewhere at any given time for the remainder of the year,” Jante said.
Jante said the Travel Tour Expo will have everything the public would need for their travels this year from leisure travel to business travel all the way to those for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.
Aside from the exhibitors, Jante said the TTE will also feature non-stop stage activities including cultural performances from the NTOs, celebrity performances, presentation from exhibitors and sponsors. There will also be hourly raffles and games where exhibitors will be giving away travel items all the way to hotel accommodations and airfares.
“Families will be able to enjoy spending their whole day at the expo. There are so many things for them to do,” Jante said.
TTE 2019 is being supported by the Tourism Promotions Board, Citibank, Philippine Airlines and Mabuhay Miles.
TTE will open its doors to the public at 9:00 am and close at 8:00 pm. General admission fee is P100 while senior citizen rate is at P70.
