28th PHL-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival: ‘70 Years and Beyond’
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Korea, the 28th Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Aliw Theater in Pasay City.
Admission is free.
The festival has two focal points: the annual talent competition and the showcase of artists from the Philippines and Korea.

In the talent competition, talented Filipino and Korea finalists chosen in advance will be performing in Korean and Filipino respectively.
And to highlight the true meaning of cultural exchange, there will be traditional and pop performances from the two countries.
Taegeuk, the Korean traditional percussion ensemble and the Philippine Madrigal Singers will be showcasing their traditional musical performances. Filipino idol group SB19, solo singer Jean Kiley, and K-POP artists based in the Philippines Dasuri Choi and Jin Ho Bae will also be present to complete the final line-up of the program.
Aside from these performances, there will also be a traditional clothing fashion show and booth activities for the guests to enjoy.
The event is hosted by the United Korean Community Association (UKCA), together with the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines
