Want to help Filipinos in need? Here’s what you can do through McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen
More than a year after the lockdown, McDonald’s Philippines, through its charity of choice, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), remains committed to make a difference in the lives of Filipinos by providing meals from its Kindness Kitchens.
When it started, the brand’s initial commitment was to serve 50,000 meals to medical frontliners and volunteers. To date, McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen has been able to serve more than 460,000 meals to 50 vulnerable communities and 400 hospitals and quarantine centers and 300 government agencies, local units and non-government organizations.
Aside from McDonald’s commitment, driving the continuous operations of the Kindness Kitchens are McDonald’s restaurant crew and managers who prepare the meals and the generosity of corporate partners who provide essential support to ensure meals are delivered to various recipients. Metrobank Foundation, Coca-Cola, Angkas, Chevrolet, HAVI Logistics are few of the more than 70 partners who’ve supported McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen. The dedication of volunteers to help in the preparation and distribution also contributed to the continued success of the program.
McDonald’s Philippines President and CEO and RMHC President, Kenneth S. Yang, emphasizes that MKK will continue to serve meals for frontliners and families in need as it is grounded in its commitment to serve communities.
“Guided by our core value of malasakit, we have always been committed to serve our communities. Through our Kindness Kitchens, we are pleased to serve meals and bring simple happiness to many of our fellow Filipinos. We are very grateful to our partners who’ve entrusted us with their generosity. To date, we continue to serve meals especially to health care workers who have been in the front line of battle against the pandemic,” he said.

With your generosity, the support of our partners, and the efforts of our volunteers, we can achieve more. You too can help serve kindness to those in need by visiting rmhc.org.ph/donate. For as low as 100 pesos donation, you can provide meals to people working in the frontlines and in different communities.
