Who is leading the 7-Election mock poll?
You still have time to cast your cups until April 27 in all 7-Eleven stores nationwide!
It has been almost two weeks since 7-Eleven launched the third run of its 7-Election campaign last March 9. In this year’s edition, the convenience store chain encourages the public to #SpeakCUP about their presidential bet in a fun and thirst-quenching way because at 7-Eleven, walang basagan ng drink!
As of March 23, 2022, 472,153 cups or 44%, have been casted in more than 2,000 7-Eleven stores nationwide, with Bongbong Marcos emerging as the preferred presidential candidate of the 7-Election voters. Coming in second is Vice President Leni Robredo with 287,871 cups or 27%, followed by Undecided with167,397 cups or 15% of total votes.
No other national polls in recent history has generated this much social media frenzy and public engagement. Given the weight of the 2022 elections, a trial run with a little fun might just be what everyone needs at the moment!
For this year’s 7-Election, 7-Eleven aims to create a safe and fun space where the public can #SpeakCUP and be heard, while enjoying a cup of their favorite 7-Eleven drink. Plus, customers are given more options with City Cafe joining GULP in the campaign.
Unlike the election day on May 9, there’s no age and vote limit during 7-Election. Customers of all ages can cast a vote more than once by choosing among the cups of the leading contenders Ping Lacson, Bongbong Marcos, Isko Moreno, Manny Pacquiao, and Leni Robredo. An undecided cup is also available for those who have yet to make a decision.

Everyone is highly encouraged to participate and treat this exercise as if it’s the real thing. Similar to how voters double check their ballots during election day, make it a habit to double check your receipt to make sure it reflects the right vote.
Each cup contains its own unique barcode and is equal to one vote. Votes are tallied daily and are reflected on the 7-Eleven microsite, www.7-election.com.ph. The site also includes a geotag feature that allows users to view the results per area. All of the physical 7-Eleven stores’ leaderboard tallies specific to the store are updated every Friday.
Albeit unscientific and unofficial, the convenience store chain has accurately predicted the winners during the 2010 and 2016 presidential elections. Will 7-Eleven forecast the Philippines’ newest president for the third year in a row?
It’s not too late to cast your cups and show support for your candidate. Head over to the nearest 7-Eleven store and let your voice be heard as you #SpeakCUP!
