Festança: A Festival of Love and Hope

Standing for Truth in Love, as the School of the Holy Spirit of Quezon City (SHSQC), our hearts to you we bring! Once an all-girls Catholic school in Quezon City, run by the Holy Spirit sisters, SHSQC stands by her mission to be part of a bigger community. This Jubilee Year, Pope Francis invites us all to become “Pilgrims of Hope” to overcome world challenges. Excitement buzzes as each day brings us closer to the much-awaited celebration.

United as one school community, we welcome you to Festança! SHSQC’s joyous festival anew—making the new year even more meaningful through this year’s celebration of hope and faith. This annual event is a window of opportunities to witness once again the melody that binds us together to find happiness and harmony through the sharing of time, talent, and treasure.

Here in Festança, each event in the two-day celebration is like a colorful flaglet dancing through the wind, coming together to create a vibrant celebration of love, hope, and unity.

Don’t know what to expect yet? Experience the non-stop excitement brought by the rides, fun games, non-food booths, and other events made possible by the creativity of SHSians!

Meliora, an open mic event, gives a stage for voices to rise and inspire, igniting connections through talent and heartfelt expression. Galaw Pinoy, a Philippine Folk Dance club, takes us on a fervent journey, igniting pride in our roots and hope for the future as they take the stage in their first-ever solo showcase.

Anticipate the return of the SHSQC alumni, celebrating creativity and resilience through Journey of a Million Dreams, a mini fashion segment featuring the creativity of both graduates and students on the first night. On the second day, watch out for the annual general assembly in the morning that hopes to further strengthen the bonds of community, and bridge generations with shared stories and experiences, and a classic basketball showdown in the afternoon of the second day in their very own Hope League: Hoops of Passion and Excellence.

Still missing out? Don’t fret! The night is still young with Vaudeville on the first night and the Band Festival on the second night, bringing everything together into an electrifying celebration of music and arts, leaving our hearts full of joy and the spirit of Festança alive in us all. Watch out for the performances featuring students, graduates, student bands from other schools, and more!

We are inviting you this February 7 and 8, 2025 to indulge in the spirit of hope. Join us here on campus at F. Sotto St., BF Homes, Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City. Enrapture yourselves with the essence of celebration by finding out more through the school’s official social media platforms: Facebook, School of the Holy Spirit of Quezon City, and Instagram, @shsqc_ph, and on the school’s official website, https://holyspirit.edu.ph/bfhomes.
