2025 CineMapua Student Film Festival: Expand your Vision

The 2025 CineMapua Student Film Festival is set to return, bringing a platform for emerging student filmmakers to showcase their talent and creativity. Running from May 19 to 23, 2025, this event will take place at Mapua University, with screenings open to the public at various locations.

The CineMapua Student Film Festival is a film competition of student filmmakers from the different educational institutions in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Now in its 21 st edition, CineMapua continues to highlight innovative storytelling and technical excellence among senior high school and college student filmmakers. Audiences can expect a diverse selection of narrative, documentary, and experimental short films.

The theme for this year is “Expand Your Vision.” CineMapua hopes to serve as a beacon for young creatives, providing them with a stage to present their visionary works, and refine their craft. Through the years, CineMapua has upheld its commitment to fostering fresh talent, celebrating innovation, and encouraging discussions about cinema's role in shaping cultural narratives.

The public screenings of the films are scheduled on May 19 to 21, and May 23, 2025, at the following venues: Mapua Intramuros AVR 1, AVR 2, and AVR 3; and Mapua Makati Mapua Cardinal Cinema. Tickets will be available for purchase online and at the entrance of screening venues.

The festival culminates in the Awards Ceremony on May 22, 2025, at the Mapua Intramuros Gym. This exclusive event (by invitation only) will honor the most outstanding films in various categories, recognizing the artistry and hard work of student filmmakers. The awardees will join a legacy of talented individuals who have gone on to make an impact in the film industry.
