For many Filipino drivers, the idea of a long-distance EV road trip used to trigger one nagging question: "Where am I going to charge?"

Drive Electric. Love Pinas. set out to answer that, not with a brochure, but with an actual journey.

In partnership with BYD Cars Philippines, ACMobility, and the Department of Tourism, led by adventurer Wil Dasovich, completed a 22-day electrified adventure across Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. It was proof that electric travel across the Philippines isn't something to wait for. It's already here, backed by a charging network that's quietly becoming the new backbone of how Filipinos move.

The Philippine EV Spine

At the heart of that story is the ACMobility Philippine EV Spine, a nationwide charging network built around a simple idea: EV confidence doesn't come from range alone. It comes from knowing where you can stop next.

ACMobility's network covers over 200 charging hubs nationwide as of April 2026, and continues to grow. That's enough to change how Filipino drivers think about EV travel, shifting the question from "Will I make it?" to "Where do I want to stop?"

Charging Beyond Metro Manila

The network now reaches well beyond the metro, covering key areas across Central Luzon, North Luzon, South Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Charging locations include Pagudpud, Baguio, Lucena, Camarines Sur, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Dipolog, and Pagadian, among others. These charging locations are found on routes Filipinos actually take, whether for work, family visits, or during holidays.

Easier Trip Planning with Evro

Planning those stops is made easier through ACMobility’s partner app, Evro, allowing EV drivers to locate nearby ACMobility EV Charging Hubs, check station availability, manage charging sessions, and pay cashlessly via GCash or credit card, all in one place.

What that means in practice: you can figure out your charging stops before you even leave home, or adjust on the fly during a drive. And a charging break doesn't have to be downtime. It can be lunch, a coffee run, a chance to stretch, or even a spontaneous detour to somewhere new. It becomes part of the trip, not an interruption to it.

For added support in Metro Manila, ACMobility also offers Power-on-Wheels, a mobile charging service that brings DC fast charging directly to EV owners through scheduled bookings or emergency charging support when needed.

Two World Records. One Very Filipino Journey.

The convoy didn't travel through a controlled setting or a short city loop. It went through real Philippine conditions: the sand dunes of Ilocos Norte, the rising and falling mountain roads of Baguio, the long stretches of Bicol, the island routes of Cebu, and the highways deep into Mindanao.

And the world took notice. The campaign earned two Guinness World Records titles: Most number of cities visited in a continuous journey by a battery-powered electric vehicle, and Most number of cities visited in a continuous journey by a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. These weren't records set on some closed European motorway or a purpose-built test route. They were set here, on Philippine roads, in conditions Filipino drivers deal with every day.

Support Beyond the Charger

A great charging network gets you there. What keeps you confident is knowing that support doesn't stop once you've unplugged.

BYD Cars Philippines backs its owners with 81 dealerships nationwide, 24/7 Roadside Assistance, and a once-a-year preventive maintenance schedule. Whether you're driving familiar routes or venturing somewhere new, that network means help is rarely far away.

The Road Ahead Is Connected

Going electric in the Philippines used to feel like a leap of faith. Today, it feels like a real option because the infrastructure, support, and proof are all there.

Drive Electric. Love Pinas. showed that the road ahead isn't just electric. It's connected.
