Election history
-
In his bio, Marquez claims he served as barangay kagawad of Barangay Otucan Sur, Bauko, Mountain Province from 2004 to 2007.
-
The Commission on Elections declared Marquez as a nuisance candidate for senator in the 2019 and 2022 elections noting that he was virtually unknown, lacked resources “to sustain the financial rigors of a nationwide campaign,” and lacked the support of a political party. Marquez challenged the rulings before the Supreme Court, which decided in his favor in both instances. Still, his candidacy was rendered moot and academic due to the conclusion of both elections.
