Sony Ericsson fans, start salivating: a "superphone" with a 13-megapixel camera may signal the company's big push into the United States in 2012, an enthusiast blog site disclosed.

Xperiablog.net cited a Bluetooth End Product List that showed the Sony Ericsson LT28at is heading to AT&T and is the largest 2012 Xperia leaked so far.

"It will be armed with a 4.55-inch Reality display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It will be LTE enabled and come with a whopping 13MP back-illuminated camera sensor with LED flash and a 720p front facing camera," it said.

The Bluetooth End Product List entry described the LT28at as an Android-based mobile phone whose features include:

  • Tablet capacity Touch phone
  • LTE for ultra high speed entertainmentTD-SCDMA, HSPA
  • 4.55” HD720p Reality display
  • Bluetooth 2.1 EDR
  • 13MP BSI camera & HD 720p Front camera
  • LED Flash - Bluetooth/WLAN: 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5 GHz)
  • Dual microphones (noise suppression and stereo recording)

Xperiablog said the previous reveal pointed to a 1.5GHz dual-core chipset.

"At the time we thought that the LT28at may just be the US version of the Nozomi, however given the display size and camera megapixel count, this is likely to be an entirely different device," it said.

It added it is "very possible" that the Sony Ericsson LT28at will be unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show in early January. — TJD, GMA News
