Jeremy Lin tops Kobe Bryant on Google Search

A week after outscoring NBA superstar Kobe Bryant on the basketball court, new NBA sensation Jeremy Lin is doing it again - this time on search giant Google.

Google said searches for Lin in the past 30 days peaked higher than Bryant and other sports icons like David Beckham and Tom Brady (football), and Tiger Woods (golf).

Lin gained fame in the past few weeks after leading the New York Knicks, then missing superstars Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire, to a seven-game winning streak.

He also endeared himself to fans with his humility and hard work.

Google's Insights for Search showed web searches for Lin and Brady were tied at 10 - with searches for Bryant and Beckham way behind at 4, and Woods at 3.

In the Philippines, searches for Lin ranked first with 12, followed by Bryant with 5, and Beckham with 2.
