Student's porn star prom date goes pfft

So much for that prom date with a porn star.

 

A student who got porn star Megan Piper to be his date for his school prom with the help of Twitter was barred by school authorities from pushing through with his plan.

 

The North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District in Minnesota stressed student Mike Stone cannot bring Piper - or any other porn star - to the special night, The Daily Dot reported.

 

“They don’t want her to come because of who she is. But all the students at my school are with me and want to help me get her there,” The Daily Dot quoted Stone as saying.

 

But the Daily Dot report hinted Stone is still not giving up on his plan, at least for now.

 

"I’m just trying to get around everything and get into the prom with my date," it quoted him as saying.

 

On Wednesday afternoon, District Superintendent Patty Phillips released a statement saying that Stone’s “prom date will not be allowed to attend the Tartan prom as her attendance would be prohibited under Tartan's standard prom procedures and would be inconsistent with two school district policies.”

 

Piper, 19, said she would go if Stone could shoulder her travel expenses. The Daily Dot said travel agency Travgroup had offered to pay for her trip.

 

“We sympathize with the kid in search of a great prom experience and would love to help out. Confirm with Mike and let’s move forward with setting up the flights,” Daily Dot quoted Travgroup as saying in its email to Piper.

 

Meanwhile, Stone's mother Devin was reportedly upset, not by her son asking Piper to a prom but at the school for "discriminating."

 

“It shouldn’t matter if someone is a porn star, a construction worker, a teacher, a principal or a homemaker. What does their profession have to do with anything? That doesn’t make them a bad person," she was quoted as saying.

 

"I support my son 100 percent. Yes, I was in shock when I first found out but I got over it. It was already done and over with. There was nothing I could do about it. And he needs his story to be known—that he asked all these girls at his high school and they said no. They were just being mean to him, like kids are these days. He did something creative that nobody else had the courage to do," she added. — TJD, GMA News
