Nescafé Philippines has top FB fan page in PHL


The Facebook page with the most subscribers in the Philippines belongs not to a celebrity or an important political figure, but to a corporation: Nescafé Philippines. In a statement, Nescafé said that having two million subscribers means that six percent of the 33 million Filipinos online are its fans. It also said it incorporates fan input in developing new products. According to the company, 97 percent of its Facebook fans have indicated that it is a brand they “love,” and that they were more willing to drink Nescafé after engaging with the page. Nescafé Philippines business executive manager Christophe Stern said that the company’s posts has an average reach of over 500,000, achieved by “having over 100,000 fans talking about our products and our promos.” The company recently held a Fans’ Day to celebrate its two million “likes,” the statement added. — BM, GMA News
